Questions that come up
A day is in the wrong place, or missing
Open the calendar and tap the day. The panel underneath sets where that day was recorded, including clearing it back to no record. The month arrows step back as far as your record goes.
Today is blank and I have not gone anywhere
A day belongs to the place whose clock it happened on. If your phone is hours ahead of the place you are tracking, today has not started there yet — the correction panel says so when that is what is going on.
Automatic tracking is on and nothing appears
DayProof uses significant location change and visit detection rather than continuous GPS, because continuous GPS would flatten your battery. Those wake the app when you have actually moved a meaningful distance — often not until you next travel. Days you spend at home do not generate a new record because nothing changed.
If iOS is refusing location access, the Settings screen says so and names what would change it.
The report will not export
The export button is inactive when the selected tax year has no records in it. Use the year menu at the top of the export screen to pick a year you have recorded days in.
I paid and the app still says Free
Open the paywall and tap Restore purchases. If that does not do it, write to me with the Apple Account email you purchased under and I will look.
Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by the app: iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and the current period runs to its end. Your records stay on your device either way.
Reporting a wrong rule
Every threshold in the app carries the source it was read from and the date it was checked — tap a place, then the source line. If one is wrong or has been superseded, send me the citation and I will correct it in the next release.
